About

My name is Jente Ameye - born in '93 - graduated as a product, brand & packaging designer, living and working in Ghent, Belgium.

Lustr.design originated out of a collaboration between myself and lasercut.be, for whom I work as a designer. Together we try to promote lasercutting and other low volume digital production techniques as an answer to mass production.

The first focus of the project is to make things local: we produce locally and collaborate with multiple regional partners. We believe in a more ecological approach towards production these days without large stocks and waste. This mindset is powered by new digital production techniques that make it possible to produce on order.

As a young designer, I also want to create accessible design for everybody.
So I also focus on efficiency: I started off with a series of pendant lamps, designed for flatpack shipping. All lamps are optimized to have as little waste as possible.
